Supported Employment Team
The team provides guidance and support for clients who may need extra help to find and keep a job. The Support Workers within the team have experience in working with clients with a range of support needs, including health issues, lack of confidence, family commitments and financial difficulties.
The Support Worker will take the client through the following process:
- Vocational Profile – to gather information about the job seekers skills and abilities, their preferences regarding employment and their support needs. The Support Worker will give advice and guidance to help clients set realistic and achievable employment goals.
- Work Experience Placements – to give clients the opportunity to try out a work situation, with support.
- Employment Negotiations – the Support Worker will discuss a range of employment prospects with the employer on the job seeker’s behalf.
- Employment Support – for the employee and the employer without time limits.
