GET Welcomes New Employment Support Officers

We're thrilled to introduce our two newest Employment Support Officers, Ignatius Uzoanya and William Roberts.

Ignatius joined us on 1st August, bringing experience in teaching, dyslexia support and customer service.

Almost four months in post, Ignatius says "I am delighted to be back to a type of role that gives me purpose and fulfilment at Guernsey Employment Trust - where supporting people towards securing and maintaining gainful employment is core. It is an opportunity for me to learn new concepts and cover more ground in supporting people towards living fulfilled lives".

William came on board on 1st October, with a background in adult disability and digital marketing.

William, who is nearing the end of his second month, says “Since starting at GET, I’ve been able to get stuck in supporting clients almost immediately. The team have been incredibly supportive and welcoming, assisting me with every stage of the supported employment process. Building working relationships with clients has been extremely rewarding. I love that I get to help support individuals build their confidence, readiness and skillsets, preparing them to enter employment on island. I can’t wait to continue my journey at GET and support my clients further, and eagerly anticipate meeting new ones as my caseload grows.”

Both Ignatius and William are dedicated to helping individuals prepare for and find meaningful employment, providing ongoing support every step of the way. We look forward to them both settling in and expanding their caseloads, so they can have the highest impact, supporting more disabled people.
